Project Spotlight
Sushi Tombo,
Windsor.
For the Sushi Tombo project, Resair was commissioned to provide a comprehensive Design & Construct Package for their bespoke restaurant. The client required a tailored air conditioning, ventilation, and kitchen exhaust system to ensure a comfortable dining experience while meeting the high standards necessary for a food service establishment. The project presented unique challenges due to the small space and the demanding timeline, necessitating innovative solutions that could be executed quickly and efficiently.
One of the primary challenges was the limited space, particularly on the first floor where the ceiling height was quite low. To maximize the available space and maintain the restaurant's aesthetic appeal, our design team opted to ovalize the exposed ductwork. This modification allowed us to minimise the impact on space while ensuring that the system remained both functional and visually unobtrusive. Additionally, the ductwork was designed with built-in balancing dampers at the grilles, enabling us to maintain consistent airflow throughout the restaurant - a critical factor in providing a comfortable environment for diners.
The fast turnaround required close collaboration between our in-house engineers and design team, who worked tirelessly to meet the project's tight deadlines without compromising quality. By leveraging our expertise and ability to adapt quickly to the constraints of the space, we were able to deliver a custom HVAC solution that not only met the client's needs but also enhanced the overall functionality and atmosphere of Sushi Tombo. The result was a fully integrated system that supported the restaurant's operations and contributed to a pleasant dining experience.
